  His family moved to Zurich from 1900 until 1904 when they moved to Geneva. Believed to have served an apprenticeship in Zurich from 1913. His profession was given as "Dactylograph" and later as a journalist in Basel. He spent some of his adult life living in Paris. Buried in the Jewish cemetery at Veyrier.
