  • Notes 
    • Originally trained as a car mechanic. He left Bamberg in January 1939 for England where he continued his apprenticeship. He later joined the newly established British firm, Loblite Limited, in Gateshead and continued his training as a Production Engineer. After the death of his uncle, Robert, he assisted his father but around 1953 developed symptoms of a disease later diagnosed as Multiple Sclerosis. He was instrumental with his brother, George, in establishing Newcastle Reform Synagogue.
