    • On 1st April 1898 (age 17 years) sailed from Rotterdam on board the Maasdam to New York where he resided working as a book keeper. He becomes a US citizen on 13th April 1903. He marries in 1905 and is visible on the 1905 and 1915 Census in Manhattan.
