Notes - Recalled by a family friend, David Prager: "I remember him telling me stories about his military training in England including his sessions on dismantling and cleaning guns. When told one morning he had to break up the weapons by initially symmetrically setting two component arms angled at "10 to 2", his poor English translated this to wait until 10 minutes before 2 o'clock in the afternoon before doing this!
David also mentioned that he suffered from mistreatment on arrest in Nazi Germany.
