      Emigrated to the United States with his mother in 1937, Stanton, a life trustee of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, director emeritus of Lincoln Center, chairman emeritus of Yeshiva University, and an honorary trustee of Congregation Shearith Israel, all in New York City.
